LOVE MY NEW CITY

The new city I moved to, West Chester, is so cute and historic; it's filled with parks, restaurants, and fun little shops. We lived here when I was little, but you see things a bit differently when you're 24 vs 8.

This past saturday I walked down the street for my first trip to the West Chester Grower's Market, a fresh farmer's market in the center of West Chester every saturday starting in May and lasting through November.

I bought a whole bunch of fruits and veggies to make a veggie/hummus tray I for a BBQ saturday night. And now four days later I'm still enjoying the delicious vegs for dinner...mmmm mm.

Not to rush the summer or anything (because trust me, I'm taking in all the sun and heat I can before gearing up for the winter!) but I'm so excited about Fall here when all the local shops decorate for halloween/thanksgiving and the farmers market is filled with caramel apples, pumpkins and homemade cider.

If I've tempted you, I do have a guest bedroom now for visitors! hint, hint :)

CRUSHING ON TK

This is embarassing.

But it's true and I confess.

I have a huge crush on this guy:
Taylor Kitsch

Apparently I'm a 10-year-old teeny bopper again. But it's not completely my fault. A co-worker talked me into watching Friday Night Lights (FINALLY, since it's filmed my homeland) and it was all downhill from there.

FRIDAY: I HAVE NOT FORGOTTEN ABOUT YOU

1.  Birthdays are:      Birthdays. They've not been known to be my favorite thing to celebrate (maybe because I have a horrible memory when it comes to dates), but I sure do like the idea of celebrating the life of people you love.

2.  My favorite birthday memory was      the 21st birthday; ironic because that's supposed to be the one you DON'T remember, but I don't think I've ever had more friends all in one place at the same time; SO much fun  .

3.  A birthday tradition I (or my family) has is       picking our birthday cake made especially by the mom every year; guess what my pick ALWAYS was...Chocolate Chocolate Chip Chocolate Cake...surprised?? :)  .

4.  If I had to choose one birthday meal to eat for the rest of my birthdays hence forward, I would choose       Tacos. Seriously. Build-your-own tacos with all the fixings and of course chips and queso, salsa, guacamole  .

5.  My birthday is on     June 10 .

6.  If I could take a birthday trip I would go       to Europe; Italy and Spain, maybe some Ireland and Switzerland if I could swing it  .

7.  The best gift I've ever received for my birthday was      Bailey; the cutest, fluffiest, whitest little puppy I got for my 11th (maybe 12th) birthday      .

OH, AND I'M GETTING ANOTHER NIECE/NEPHEW!

Bring on the babies!

Check out my cute, little, pregnant sis-in-law here.

SO excited...Congratulations Kev and Shan (dad- and mom-to-be)!!

SURPRISES AT THE EYE DOCTOR

My eye doctor, which I feel like I've been living at over the past 7 months, has this neat new table of books set up. A used book sale to raise money for Haiti. Yesterday I picked up a couple.

What a great idea. It not only supports a good cause, but also makes an otherwise dreadful visit to the eye doctor rather enjoyable.

DEAR MOM AND DAD, DON'T BE MAD.

Sometime between today and August 21st, look up in the sky, you might see me! Because I'll be doing this:

I've been wanting to jump for a while now and my co-worker, Mike, had just about talked me into it AND THEN I was woken up this morning by an email with Living Social's daily deal - 50% off a tandem jump! Now if you know me, you know this girl can't pass up a good deal...

So here I go, finally going to suck it up and jump out of a plane. (Ah! Might pee my pants just thinking about it.)

And hey! If you're in the Philly area and want to join me (I would absolutely LOVE for you to),  the deal is on through the weekend; so go here and buy one! Come on you know you want to, it'll be fun! (hah, listen to me, i'm shakin' in my boots on the other side of this blog :\)

HELLOOOOO NEW HOUSE

Pretend I updated my blog with days 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 of unpacking...and now we're to today.

TADA!
I'm all moved in!

Hah! If only it were that easy :) But with the help of my wonderful brother, the mom and the dad, it was A LOT easier than it could've been! So thankful for that. And I'm LOVING it so far. All the furniture I had fits in perfectly and I even have my own little craft room for all my little projects! It's perfect. I don't have internet at the house and I haven't unpacked my camera yet, so bare with the fuzzy pictures from my phone and quick post from work. More pictures with a complete tour to follow at some point.

Organic spice rack from Kevin and Shannon for Christmas fits perfectly in the kitchen (thanks to some homemade hanger-hooks from the engineer dad.)

New kitchen canisters with my personal favorite little touch...girl can't live without her Jelly Belly jelly beans!

And the princess is already making herself at home...didn't take her long!
