DEAR MOM,
I'm sorry I kept you up all night last night.
I'm sorry that I'm a 7-year-old 110-pound wuss that's still afraid of thunderstorms and deals with them by panting and pacing around your bed all night.
I'm also sorry that after only 2 hours of solid sleep you had to get up and go to work while I got to snooze on the couch all day (see above)...
Forgive me? :]
Love, Chubbs

HOW COULD I FORGET
For Christmas my parents gave me, Kyle and Stephanie tickets to go see Les Miserables at the Kimmel Center in Center City Philadelphia. The Mom saw this show back when she was around my age and it first came out and she was absolutely blown away by it it. This year is the musical's 25th Anniversary so my parents thought it would be a neat idea to send us to the show that my mom fell in love with in its' first year out.
(How cool is that?!)
So Saturday night, January 15th I sat smack dab in the middle of the theater in our main-level seats (no big deal :) ) and finally realized why, through my 24-years of life, The Mom had loved this musical so much. I knew most of every song from hearing her play and sing them all the time (that's life living with a music teacher!), but never knew anything about the story line. Until it all finally came together.
I think I sat with my jaw dropped in amazement for the entire three hours. Les Miserables and particularly this performance in general was THE BEST I've ever seen. Hands down. Definitely a moment I'll never forget.

THE BLANKS ARE BACK
1. I am so cold. All the time. Winter in Pennsylvania is not for the cold-blooded .
2. The bravest thing I've ever done was Hmmmm, I don't think I'm all that brave...after I go skydiving I might say that if that counts .
3. I feel prettiest when I'm fresh out of the shower and squeaky clean after a good workout .
4. Something that keeps me awake at night is thinking about the next day's schedule...so frustrating when I can't get my mind to stop .
5. My favorite meal in the entire world is Chips and Queso, Guacamole, Tacos, and Chocolate Chocolate Chip Chocolate Cake for dessert .
6. The way to my heart is through (this is cheesy, but) sincerity; this girl doesn't handle fake very well. Chocolate Ice Cream also works .
7. I would like to win the lottery? Oh, and tell Lady Gaga she's ridiculous. Who wastes three days of their life in an egg?
Ah, it feels good to be back on the Friday train.
Happy Friday friends!

WOAH BABY
This little thing called LIFE has been keeping me quite busy; and just like that, before I know it - BOOM - it's almost March and warm outside! Yikes. Slow down life. You've been good to me, but you're moving a bit too fast.
Freinds, get ready for a Whirlwind of the past month and a half...
I survived THE CRUISE and it was amazing; I absolutely loved it...Music, Sun, Friends, Food and Icy Cold Beverages; what's not to love??
After the cruise, January pretty much went by in a blur...Between work life, social life, family life, and dating life (that's right, I said dating life...!!!!...but don't get too excited, those details are strictly confidential) the days just flew by and clearly the good old blog here took a back seat.
After what felt like a bagillion days in a row of below freezing temperatures and snow that wouldn't stop falling and still refuses to melt, February finally came. And so far has been a great month. The cold is definitely getting old, but I'm keeping my spirits up with thoughts of warmth and some much-needed sweat sessions at the gym (very necessary when you're stuck indoors for months at a time!)
I was able to make a short trip to New Orleans in the beginning of the month. Although it was for work, we were excited to get out and explore the streets at night. I can't believe I've never been there before, the city has such a neat vibe. I was hoping for warm weather, but we didn't let the 30 degree temps phase us; we had a great time. And I got to do the one thing I was looking forward to the whole trip, walk in the streets with an open beer...where else can you order a beer to go?!
And most recently, I got to spend a whole evening with the cutest niece ever. It's been a while since we had one-on-one time and as usual we had so much fun - We colored valentines, made mini pizzas together, Mac served me 'coffee' from her new Little Tykes Kitchen, SHE read ME all her books , she showed me how ahe knows all of her letters and numbers, played in the bubble bath and most importantly giggled ALOT at each other. The girl is just so funny, she makes me crack up! And everytime I laugh she starts laughing and tells me I'm silly: "Kia, you silly!"

New friends!
Philly friend Matt, playing the Serenity Deck at sunrise...I was unfortunately asleep for this. Me and staying up until sunrise don't mix well.

Don't mind the beads; I got them legitimately with jacket on and all :)
Second best part of the trip? The layover in Dallas when I had enough time for lunch at Pappasitos to satisfy my constant Mexican food craving.
Cheeeeeeese. (Froggy needed a tissue...)
There you have it...the time you've missed (as a blog reader) in a nutshell...the girl is back! Love you all. Thanks to everyone who's getting my butt into gear and back on the blog train (not to name any names ::cough cough:: Heather, ::cough cough:: The Mom, ::cough cough:: Shannon and Steph).
