Hello hurricane
Beachweek 2009...more like hurricane week 2009...
Two days of sun to five days of hurricane is not my ideal beach vacation.
However, having hours upon hours to play endless games of Nertz, Dominos, Imaginiff and Cranium with my family is.

Pieces of Fall
It got down to 58 degrees last night.
The hike through Valley Forge after work had me feeling like it was October. The fallen leaves mixed with the temperature of the air and dark sky felt like Fall. I couldn't persuade myself otherwise.
So naturally, upon returning home, I threw on the long-sleeved shirt, opened the windows, lit the Pumpkin Spice candle that has been waiting patiently on the shelf since last Fall, and enjoyed the chilly breeze that took over the house.
Now I was convinced it was Fall.
But today will be warm and tomorrow warmer. It is not October. It is not Fall. Not yet.
Summer remains in full swing (thank goodness because I'm still in shock that we're 2/3 of the way through 2009 already) but the little piece of my favorite season that I was able to enjoy last night in the midst of the summer sun was nice. So nice.
