ORDERING SPRING

Bought these today:

Not that I'll have any use for them now (or the next 3 months for that matter), but they're so cute and have warm weather written all over them.

If Spring won't come, I'll bring Spring to me!

But alas it's still freezing outside, the snow is still falling and it's still only February. So for now I will try my recent purchase on in the comfort of my warm home, and pretend I'm basking in the hot summer sun. Unless, of course, you want to surprise me with a Caribbean vacation? :)

JUST WANNA RUN

Not on a treadmill, or around a tiny indoor '13-lap-equals-a-mile' track, or in place with WiiFit.

Around Town Lake. Through UT Campus. Along the Schuykill. Up and down the Manayunk hills. With all the homeless people in East Austin. On the smelly trail through Conshohocken.

Anywhere as long as it's OUTSIDE.

Without my lungs feeling like they're going to bust out of my chest from the cold or the threat of slipping and breaking an arm on the ice-covered sidewalks.

Just wanna step out my front door and RUN.

Go away cold.

SNOW'S A COMIN'

Dang Punxsutawney Phil, I'm starting to think you don't even have a shadow.

It's blustery cold and yep, snow's coming again.

But I suppose this 'winter storm' comes at the perfect time: smack in the middle of my LOST addiction (yes, it has, against my will, graduated to an addiction...). It's just so much better than I could've ever imagined and I'm right in the thick of the amazing-ness.

And this weekend when I'm snowed in (yet again) I will not feel guilty about LOST marathon that I have planned; just me, Mica, and my imaginary boyfriend Jack Shephard.

After all, the more episodes I watch, the sooner I'll finish the seasons, the faster the addiction will end and I can move on to something productive, right? Is it so bad to look at it that way?

LET'S PLAY CATCH-UP...

Saturday was a day with my girl! My precious niece, Mackenzie. She's getting so big and learning so much I just LOVE spending time with that little one. Kyle and Steph got out for a few quiet hours alone while Kenz and I read tons of books (or more like the same book tons of times), had a Taylor Swift dance party, played The Itsy Bitsy Spider 1743623 times on her toy piano, and watched the snow storm outside. It was a blast. See for yourself:

Aunt Kara's cell phone is so fun!

Moo Cows!

She's even working on her 'I Love You':

Kenzie/Aunt Kara day is a success!

Sunday/Monday/Tuesday I was pretty much out for the count. I woke up on Sunday hardly able to open my eyes from some kind of pink eye, but it wasn't until it got 10x worse on Monday morning that I knew I had to go to the eye doctor. Thank goodness I live close to home, Mom had to come pick me up to chauffeur me around because I couldn't see anything. Scary! But nice to feel like you're 6 years old again with mom driving you to the doctor :)

Turns out, the doc said I have Corneal Inflammation (aka inflamed corneas). Weird, I know. Who gets this stuff and how does one even get it?! Who knows, but if you can help it, I don't recommend contracting this, it's the worst pain I've ever felt in my eyes.

After a couple days of rest at home and some miracle eye drops, I have my eyes back :) Praise God.

Wednesday my sister, Kelly, and nephew, Ryan, came up for a visit (banner week for the nieces and nephews!) Unfortunately the daunting snow storm predicted for the weekend cut their short trip even shorter, but I'm so glad for the few-hour visit we had. I forget how fast babies grow in the first few months! No pictures from this time, but hopefully our next visit isn't too far away.
