TOPSYTURVY THURSDAY

I caved. And bought two TopsyTurvys. Not just one, no I couldn't stop there, I went out for the tomato TT and happened across a strawberry one too; didn't even know they made them, so naturally I had to rescue that one too.  They just look so promising! They were fairly easy to plant and hang, now I just have to keep on top of watering them EVERY DAY. I tend to have problems with that (I may or may not have killed a cactus the dad bought me) so we'll see ; fingers crossed for lots of fruits!

QUICK TRIP TO AUSTIN

It was a short trip, and for work, but just long enough for a little drive around town, a satisfying fill of mexican food (I'm pretty sure I ate it for every single meal possible) and a friday happy hour with Allison, George and Lindsay just like old times. Yes, I did actually work too, but hey, work hard play hard, right??

EASTER SUNDAY

HAPPY EASTER!

I hope you all had a wonderful and relaxing holiday.

Since we hung out with the kids on Saturday for their big egg hunt, we took advantage of the (FINALLY) warm weather and sunshine on Sunday with a mid-day hike with Chubbs and Pete's nephew. I forget how much I've missed being outside in shorts...it was SO NICE!

After a long and exhausting hike, we ended the day at The Mom and Dad's house for Easter dinner; always delicious, always relaxing and just an overall good visit. They (and my mom's cooking) will definitely be missed when they move!
