Dinner and a show (minus dinner)

Spring Awakening just blew me away. I mean for real it was AMAZING. I heard it had won eight Tony's, but I guess that didn't register in my head. It's registered now.

Since my mom's and my birthdays are a week apart in June, and being the music performers of the family that we are, we treated ourselves to a night out for a show.

Research told us that Spring Awakening was touring at The Academy of Music in Philadelphia the last week of June; SOLD.

Living states away for the past 4 years, our short holiday visits didn't leave much time for trips all the way into the city for a show and the chance that something would be showing that we'd actually want to see.  So to enjoy a broadway show, something we both love, at the same theater my mom began her career at, was  so cool.  So special.
