Blueberries, blackberries, peaches and more blueberries

Growing up, we used to always pick fresh blueberries, at least once a year. As we got older we graduated to being able to pick blueberries and peaches too. I guess I was a little nostalgic today because I found myself making a trip to Linvilla Orchards to pick fresh fruit, just like the old days.

Something about picking berries is so calming. A hay ride out to the middle of the orchard, sun shining bright; just me, the berry bush, and my little collection box. Ultimate relaxation. I made some friends with the little kids picking around me; we had contests to see who could find the biggest blueberry and talked about how many muffins and pancakes we could make with all we picked. It was AWESOME.

Three hours, 4lbs of blueberries, 3lbs of blackberries, eight peaches, and a pretty horrible shirt tan on my back later, I decided I had enough fruit to share with the family and last me for a good couple weeks.

Hey how was that farm. I have been wanting to go but we have been so busy. Were the prices alright? I would love to go instead of buying them at the store, costco style.
